We pride ourselves in having a committed and dedicated workforce who enjoy the everyday challenges that the company presents. The comments below are a typical and true reflection of how a career at Creganna Medical is perceived by our staff members.
Creganna Medical is a great place to work. It provides great opportunities to all employees to develop their skills. I started with the company over three years ago as a Quality Technician and have progressed to the role of Quality Engineer. In my job I am responsible for ensuring our products are manufactured in accordance with the complex set of regulatory standards for our industry. I am also regularly involved in driving quality improvement projects in the company. Achieving and maintaining the highest quality standards for our products can mean the difference between life and death for a patient. Creganna Medical has a challenging work environment and it is always rewarding – I have had opportunity to travel both within Ireland and abroad with the company. There is a great team spirit in the company and that makes for a great work atmosphere.
R&D Engineering Manager
I have been with the company for 3 years. I joined as a Senior R&D Engineer and last year I was promoted to R&D Manager. This job entails directing and coordinating the activities with the R&D department. The work environment is fast-paced and exciting!
Our team design and manufacture products for some of the world’s largest medical device companies. Working with design engineers and product concepts for cardiac, peripheral and neurology devices has enhanced my experience in the health care business we support.
I enjoy the challenge of taking an idea or concept and turning it into a product that is well received in the clinical field.
Senior Production Lead
I enjoy working at Creganna Medical. I started working with the company six years ago as a product builder. One year later, I got promoted to the position of Production Lead and in 2011 I became a Senior Production Lead. In this role I am responsible for managing a team, training new employees and managing the company resources to ensure that our goals are achieved.
Over the years that I have worked with Creganna Medical, I have learned and experienced many new things. The company provides great opportunities to all employees to develop their skills. When staff suggest ideas to improve the company, they are welcomed. The training I have received has been helpful in many ways and increased my knowledge about the company. The work culture is friendly, welcoming to everyone and hardworking. My personal work environment is very rewarding and challenging and I have had lots of opportunities that have benefited my career over the years. Creganna Medical is a great place to work.
I began working in Creganna Medical as a product builder 4 years ago. When I joined, I started on a new product line for a cancer diagnosis device. Shortly afterwards the product was successfully launched to market and the number of people in our area grew. A position for a Team Leader became available, I applied and was successful. Last year an opportunity arose to travel to the US for a manufacturing transfer project. I travelled with 14 other team members and lived and worked in the US for 3 months. I was responsible for coordinating the training and development of the transfer team. Since returning we have ramped the product lines significantly which was a great challenge. I enjoy working at Creganna Medical as it has a friendly atmosphere and support is given where needed. There are plenty of internal opportunities and fantastic prospects to advance your career. I would recommend it as a place of work.
I have a degree in Civil Engineering, and I switched my career to the medical industry about 10 years ago. I joined Creganna Medical 3 ½ years ago as an R & D Engineer. In my role, I am responsible for providing engineering knowledge, project management, engineering design and prototyping development. Since I started with the company, I have been involved in many projects such as balloon development, balloon catheters, and providing support in training and managing manufacturing production lines.
My current engineering focus is on catheter shaft development. In this role, I get the opportunity to interact with customers from the US and Europe on a daily basis – from designing concept products into reality. This experience has provided me with tremendous opportunities to progress my career ambitions. Overall, I would describe my job as very fun, fulfilling and challenging. Creganna Medical has an interesting work environment, its friendly and with career opportunities for all people.
