Business Supports Award

Creganna was recognised at the Irish Medical Device Association’s (IMDA) inaugural Excellence Awards, winning in the Business Supports category.

The awards ceremony, held in Adare, Co. Limerick on November 7th, aimed to recognise outstanding corporate performance within the medical device and diagnostic sector. Creganna’s award in the Business Supports category recognised the successful implementation of a lean manufacturing program at Creganna.

Lean manufacturing, a philosophy developed by Toyota aims to optimise efficiencies and reduce waste throughout an organisation. Creganna began a lean manufacturing program in 2005 and has had significant success with the project.

Attending the award ceremony, Creganna CEO Helen Ryan said, “This award recognises the commitment by all staff at Creganna to embrace the concept of lean manufacturing. I would like to congratulate the entire Creganna team for their support and effort in this project.”

Creganna was the only Irish company to win an award. Other awards winners included multi-nationals Stryker, Bausch & Lombe, Abbott & Baxter Healthcare.
